Stonehenge

Vic our driver dropped us at the Visitor Arrival Center and waved us off.

"Enjoy yourselves," he said. "If you see a hippie, give him a kick for me."

There weren't any hippies to be seen, or at least none we could identify, though there were more than its fair share of tourists. Even the blustery grey weather couldn't keep the crowds away - and certainly we were one of those braving the winds to see it.

Stonehenge was something I grew up reading about. Dad had a bunch of books on unsolved mysteries, aliens, and conspiracy theories, and the Stonehenge featured prominently in most of them. So it was a bit of a thrill to see them in real life - even if there weren't any dreadlocked hippies around that day.
