As in the aftermath of most exams, I end up feeling acutely aware of my stupidity.
Stark contrast to the me in my favourite childhood story, the one my dad loves retelling:
(Mind you, I was already a geek back then, bespectacled and lugging books everywhere.)
Preschool teacher: Class, what's this colour?
Class, collectively and enthusiastically: Blue!!
4 year old me, precociously: No!
Preschool teacher: Hm? It is blue.
Me, insistently: No, it's navy blue. And the other one is sky blue.
Preschool teacher: zOMG.
Life was a lot easier when expectations were lower. For now, it's back to burning the midnight oil.
