Just reached siem reap! so relieved to be on flat ground - hit nasty patches of turbulence throughout, and i was getting quite nauseous. the scenery is awesome though! landing strip is right in the middle of padi fields. now walking straight off the runway into the airport.

Just climbed up a mountain -- lush green padi fields stretching away in all directions, with villages winding along tonle sap. gorgeous.

Walked through the ruins of ta phrom in the rain -- quite a surreal, magical, mystical feeling. if you ignore the ankle deep mud puddles.

@vanvan88 the people here are amazing -- can even see women carrying tiny babies with one arm while driving with the other.

Stuck at the post office because of the rain. also have to look for a bank, where they'd hopefully change some ripped notes for new ones.
