After approximately four hours of pleading with the fishes, we finally hooked one when we least expected it. He was lighting a ciggie and I was idly reeling the line in when a splash of silver followed it up.
The fish was small - the length of a finger - but now, finally, we could go home satisfied.
We dropped it back into the cloudy water, but upon hitting the surface, it concussed and went belly-up.
Not really what we had intended...
