In Memoriam

I was deep in a Siberian valley at night when word came, through a long chain of local people who knew I was Singaporean, on LKY's passing. That they each knew of Singapore and understood the importance of the news is in a way testament to the legacy he wrote. 

RIP, and thank you for everything.

I haven't had nightmares in years, but I did last night and in it I was being chased through and then watched in my own neighborhood. The dream ended abruptly with the dark figure staring silently as I unlocked the door to my home.

Woke up in a sheen of cold sweat.

Again: oysters and alcohol - probably not a very good combination.

Life has abruptly become more exciting, due primarily to the recent interest in scuba diving and motorbiking. So many things have happened in the three-year absence, and regrettably, the finer details of them have probably already fallen through the cracks in my memory.

Perhaps this calls for the revival of this dusty blog...

Had a strange dream in which Singapore was flooded over. As my dad and brother braced my bedroom window shut against the torrent of muddy water, I mulled over which pairs of shoes to save.

Then I woke up and spent 10 minutes contemplating which pairs I would actually save, before falling asleep to yet another disaster scene.

No more late night shows for me.
